Coatlok

A seamless, sprayed-on barrier for the things on your property that water, weather and chemicals are slowly destroying — basins and foundation walls, steel and concrete structures, tanks and vessels.

What it is

One continuous membrane, sprayed to the shape of whatever it is protecting.

Coatlok coatings are non-toxic, fast-drying products that can be applied to virtually any shape to create a monolithic containment barrier. They suit substrates including wood, concrete, metal, geotextile, and polyurethane foam.

Coatlok is suitable for the protection of metal, steel, polyurethane foam, and concrete structures because it offers exceptional mechanical properties and chemical resistance, and is highly resistant to impact, abrasion, and weathering.

It is suitable for waterproofing basins, foundation walls, and reservoirs for agricultural, industrial, and civil engineering structures including water mains. Because it is sprayed rather than laid in sheets, there are no seams for water to find — which is usually where a sheet system fails first.

Product benefits

Why we reach for it.

  • Durable and flexible
  • Ideal for waterproofing basins and foundation walls
  • Can be applied at high and low temperatures
  • Application on all shapes and all types of surfaces
  • Available in several colors
Where we use it

Six jobs Coatlok does across the Valley and the San Antonio metro.

Agricultural water storage and irrigation

Holding basins, tanks and irrigation structures across the Valley’s farm and citrus country. A sprayed barrier follows the shape of the structure instead of fighting it.

Foundation walls and below-grade waterproofing

Concrete foundation walls sealed before backfill, so water is stopped at the wall rather than managed after it is already inside.

Secondary containment

Containment curbs, bunds and floors in industrial and commercial facilities, where chemical resistance and a joint-free surface both matter.

Metal and steel structure protection

Structural steel and metal buildings given a coating that resists impact, abrasion and weathering — the three things that take them apart in a coastal climate.

Protective topcoat over spray foam

Applied over sprayed foam on tanks and vessels, which is exactly the industrial vessel and tank work already on our services list. The foam insulates; the Coatlok keeps the weather off it.

Civil works and water mains

Reservoirs and civil engineering structures including water mains, where the coating has to hold up against constant contact with water.

Coatlok WPS — the code-approved waterproofing system

Coatlok WPS is a two-component waterproofing system combining Coatlok U-192 with Icynene HFO 200 spray foam or a suitable primer, creating a monolithic barrier against moisture. Backed by UL Evaluation Report ER39727-01, it meets AC29 and IBC/IRC requirements for cold, liquid-applied waterproofing materials.

  • Installs on vertical, horizontal, or sloped surfaces
  • Suits new or existing substrates with appropriate preparation
  • Thermally stable and highly resilient
  • Applies seamlessly with full substrate adhesion
  • No joints, fixations, or penetrations

Questions

What owners ask us about Coatlok.

Coatlok suits substrates including wood, concrete, metal, geotextile, and polyurethane foam. Because it is sprayed rather than sheeted, it can be applied to virtually any shape to create a monolithic containment barrier — which is what makes it practical on tanks, vessels and irregular civil structures.

Yes. Coatlok is suitable for waterproofing basins, foundation walls, and reservoirs for agricultural, industrial, and civil engineering structures including water mains. Coatlok WPS, a two-component system, is backed by UL Evaluation Report ER39727-01 and meets AC29 and IBC/IRC requirements for cold, liquid-applied waterproofing materials.

Coatlok can be applied at high and low temperatures, which is one of the reasons it works well on Valley job sites. The manufacturer’s application guide sets the specific substrate and ambient conditions, and we follow it on every job.

Yes — Coatlok is available in several colors. Which colors are available depends on the specific Coatlok product being used, so we confirm the option against the manufacturer’s current technical data sheet before ordering for your job.
